Varia VS3 Single Dose Coffee Grinder
The Varia VS3 is a compact precision single-dose grinder designed to deliver consistent grinding across a wide range of brewing methods, from espresso to hand drip and cold brew.
At its core is a 48mm 6-core conical Supernova burr set manufactured from high-nitrogen 420 stainless steel and hardened to HRC 58. Varia rates the burr set for up to 150kg of coffee.
The VS3 uses a 100W DC motor operating at a loaded grinding speed of 170 RPM, combined with a full stainless-steel gearbox. Varia's updated second-generation motor construction also incorporates over-torque protection.
Its stepless grind-adjustment mechanism provides a 10-micron (0.01mm) relative vertical burr shift per increment, giving users fine control when dialing in espresso while maintaining enough adjustment range for filter and coarse brewing methods.
The grinder's distinctive 76.5° sloped geometry is designed around a low-retention workflow. Varia states retention below 0.1g for a 10g dose when using RDT, or below 0.2g without RDT.
